Thomas D. Arbogast, Michael G. Bock, John K. Gisleson, Jeffrey W. Letwin and Paul H. Titus, attorneys at the Pittsburgh office of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, were recognized as "Super Lawyers" in the practice areas of tax, construction, business litigation, corporate business and appellate law.

Mr. Arbogast, counsel, was selected for his work in tax law. A past chair of the firm's tax practice group and a member of the firm's executive committee, his practice concentrates in the areas of commercial law and taxation. Mr. Bock, partner, is being honored for work in construction and surety law. He is a member of the litigation services department and of the construction industry practice group. Mr. Gisleson, partner, is being honored for his work in business litigation. He is a trial lawyer and co-chair of firm's litigation services department. His caseload involves a broad range of business litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants involving tort, contract, and statutory claims.

Mr. Letwin, partner, is being honored for his work in corporate business law. His work includes counseling related to corporate finance, securities, real estate development and franchising. Mr. Titus, counsel, is being honored for his work in appellate law. He has handled a range of litigation including shareholder disputes, securities issues, contract disputes, governmental regulation and antitrust litigation.


Duquesne University Chancellor and Duquesne Law School professor Dr. John E. Murray and Duquesne Law School Dean Ken Gormley have been named to the 2012 Irish Legal 100. The roster, published by the Irish Voice Newspaper, is comprised of the most accomplished and distinguished lawyers of Irish descent from across the United States. Individuals from law schools, law firms, the judiciary and the industry are selected for this prestigious list.


Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC

was honored as a 2013 Go-To Law Firm for the Top 500 Companies by ALM, a legal magazine publisher. This is the fourth consecutive year the firm has been recognized. Spilman was named as a Go-To Law Firm by Aetna for labor litigation; Allergan for intellectual property litigation; Caterpillar for contracts litigation; and The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. for contract litigation.


Edgar Snyder & Associates appointed Paul DeStefano to investigations manager; Rebekah Siegel to workers compensation attorney; and Robert Werksman to IT manager. The firm also promoted Brenda Livengood to facilities manager and Benjamin Petronchack to network administrator. Mr. DeStefano comes to the firm following 27 years with the Pennsylvania State Police. He served as Station Commander at Pittsburgh, Kiski Valley, and Indiana Stations and was a supervisor on the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. Ms. Siegel earned her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law, where she was a senior staff editor of the Duquesne Law Review and the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Torts. Mr. Werksman, with 14 years in the IT field, has a master of science in communication and information systems, and a bachelor of science in business administration.


Eric Bradley joined Metz Lewis Brodman Must O'Keefe LLC as a member in the firm's real estate practice. He has 16 years' experience in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions; commercial real estate finance and development; leasing; and title insurance. He earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
