Ipso Facto Q&A: Edgar Snyder
Share with others:
Edgar Snyder leads a law firm with 30 lawyers and one big advertising budget. In the Western Pennsylvania television market, he says, an Edgar Snyder & Associates ad has run at least once on every single channel, every single day, for the past two decades.
Q: It seems like there's a stigma about all personal injury lawyers. How do you overcome that?
Snyder: I fought this battle for literally years and years in Pittsburgh to gain acceptance, and it was a slow process. The only people that ever resented what I did were other lawyers. The public never cared, because if they don't like your product, they don't buy it. But lawyers used to ask me why a good trial lawyer like me would do something like this, something so unprofessional. Thirty years ago, lawyers had negative feelings about advertising. It was just a different day and age.
