The Cambria Suites-Pittsburgh at the CONSOL Energy Center has completed its executive committee by hiring Jim Settelmaier, assistant general manager; Taty Agustina, executive chef; Tim Porterfield, chief engineer; and Laura Stittsworth, executive housekeeper. The hotel will begin welcoming guests on Dec. 23.

The board welcomed two new members, Amy Lewis, CPA, Maher Duessel; and Kenneth Johnston, vice president of operations, People's Natural Gas. Kevin Holden, senior vice president and general manager, Bay Valley Foods/TreeHouse Foods, was elected board member emeritus.
Strategic Valuation Group announced the opening of its Pittsburgh Office and the addition of James B. Hankins Jr. as managing director of its new office.
George Bradley, associate professor in Duquesne University's McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching. This spring, Mr. Bradley received the Award for Distinguished Teaching from the Allegheny Mountain Section of the Mathematics Association of America. Involved with the organization at regional and national levels for more than 20 years, he has contributed to mathematics education throughout the country and particularly in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The National Federation of Press Women recognized Susan M. Brimo-Cox as a national winner in its 2010 Communications Contest. She received a second-place award in the category of "News or Feature Releases -- Multiple Releases" for news releases she wrote relating to Penn State Fayette's inaugural Blues and White Gala scholarship fundraiser and an honorable mention in the "Columns -- Informational" category for her gardening column, "Nature's Garden," Uniontown Herald-Standard. Ms. Brimo-Cox is director of public relations at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus and a freelance writer and editor.
Linda D. Nitch, executive director, and Diane Lynn Richardson, assistant director, Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation, earned the designation of Certified Economic Developer, a national recognition that denotes a mastery of principal skills in economic development, professional attainment and a commitment to personal and professional growth. The CEcD designation recognizes qualified and dedicated practitioners in the economic development field and sets the standard of excellence within the profession.
Robert W. Bruhn was honored as a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Bruhn is director of geotechnical engineering in the Geotechnical, Structures and Transmission Line Group, GAI Consultants.
