Windurance, headquartered in Coraopolis, and The National Institute for Renewable Energy, headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, have established a strategic relationship to exchange knowledge and equipment with the ultimate goal of improving the technologies employed in future utility scale wind turbines. The research and technologies will then be integrated into the designs of wind turbines to optimize the entire system from the concrete base to the tips of the blades, to improve availability and reliability, which are essential for minimizing generation expenses and maximizing generation output.

New Business/New office
Dr. Howard J. Senter has a new office at West Penn Hospital Forbes Regional Campus. Dr. Senter specializes in the surgical treatment of neck and back disorders, peripheral nerve disorders and disorders of the brain. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is an assistant clinical professor of neurosurgery for Drexel University and Temple University.

(NYSE: JTAX) said Rich Dzierski of its Pittsburgh office was honored as a Jackson Hewitt 2010 Tax Preparer of the Year, the highest annual reward within its tax preparer recognition program. Harold Sankey, member of Aspinwall Toastmasters, recently took first place in Table Topics Speaking Contest. Mike Pechalk, member of Beacon Club Toastmasters, took first place in the Humorous Speech Contest. Mr. Sankey was judged on forming a complete thought and both were judged on vocal variety, body and hand gestures, overall speaking confidence and completing within the allotted time limit.
