Video: A moment of history at August Wilson's childhood home

At yesterday's unveiling of the historical marker at 1727 Bedford Ave., childhood home of famed playwright August Wilson, the central speakers were members of his family -- daughter Sakina Ansari-Wilson, siblings Freda Ellis, Linda Jean Kittel and Edwin Kittel, niece Kimberly Ellis and nephew Paul Ellis.

All spoke movingly about Mr. Wilson and their memories of him and the Hill, and Paul Ellis (who owns the building) spoke of his hopes for its renovation and future use.
