Nearly 1,000 students, grades 4-12, strutted their stuff at the Pittsburgh Public Theater this week in the preliminaries of the 18th annual Shakespeare Monologue and Scene Contest.
The judges were all Public Theater staff and actors in the company's current production of "As You Like It" - the young students providing as much refreshment for the theater professionals as the latter do for their audience.
