Public visitation and funeral for Marvin Hamlisch to be held in NYC

Public visitations and funeral services for Marvin Hamlisch have been announced by Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home in New York City. Visitation times are 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Emanu-EL, 1 E. 65th St., NYC.

Mr. Hamlisch died Monday at age 68. The acclaimed composer had served as principal conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops for 17 years. He is survived by Terre, his wife of 25 years.

For the "celebration of life," the funeral home's website asks that for those who want to send flowers, Mr. Hamlisch loved yellow freesia or to send yellow flowers of choice to Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home, 1076 Madison Ave., New York, N.Y. 10028.
