The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will return to Europe for a six-nation tour in late summer. While the orchestra has performed at most of the cities in recent years, the tour will mark its first performance in Bucharest, Romania. Guest artists include violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, pianist Yuja Wang and percussionist Martin Grubinger.

Led by Manfred Honeck, the PSO will perform at several festivals: Grafenegg Festival in Austria (Aug. 29-30), Berlin Festival in Germany (Aug. 31), George Enescu International Festival in Bucharest (Sept. 3), Lucerne Festival (Sept. 10-11) and Beethoven Festival in Bonn (Sept. 12-14).

Other stops include Paris (Sept. 6), Dusseldorf (Sept. 7) and Frankfurt (Sept. 8), Germany, and London (date TBA). The tour program includes Strauss' "Ein Heldenleben" and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5. Ms. Mutter solos in Dvorak's Violin Concerto, Ms. Wang Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, and Mr. Grubinger Corigliano's "Conjurer" concerto.
