Point Breeze native Mac Miller is going to star in his own reality series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the rap star will be featured in a real-life version of "Entourage" when he and four friends move from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles.

MTV2 will produce six episodes of the yet unnamed series, possibly to debut in late February/early March. Miller (nee Malcolm McCormick), 20, is working on his much-anticipated album, "Watching Music With the Sound Off."

"Being an independent artist, I think it's important to find different ways to bring attention to what you are doing," he told the trade publication.

His "Blue Slide Park" -- a tribute to the Squirrel Hill playground of his youth -- was released in 2011 and was the first independently released No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 list since the late 1990s, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Mac embodies so many of the passion points of the MTV2 audience -- he's successful, talented and incredibly savvy as an entrepreneur, but he's also an authentic, funny, relatable guy," said Paul Ricci, network senior vice president of programming and development.
