Iron Atrocity the Sequel
• Last year Innervenus Music Collective dropped a big angry slab of metal called "Iron Atrocity Volume 1," documenting the Pittsburgh scene.
A year later, here comes "Iron Atrocity v.2," the sequel, featuring 16 bands and a 24-page booklet -- all done, according to Innervenous founder Scott Massie, "on virtually no budget to speak of."
On board for this installment are Derketa, Liquified Guts, October, Ascend the Fallen, Girlfight, Blackmarket Bodyparts, Solarburn, Moths, Lythem, Grisly Amputation, Motorpsychos, Vermithrax, Lycosa, United By Hate, Tyrant and Lady Beast.
The release show is 9 p.m. Friday at the 31st Street Pub with Motorpsychos, Liquified Guts, Lycosa and Ascend the Fallen. Admission is $1.
