John Mayer is launching his first tour in three years, and it will stop at the First Niagara Pavilion on Sunday, Aug. 25 with "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips.

Tickets -- prices TBA - go on sale at 10 a.m. March 30 via livenation.com, Ticketmaster outlets or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

The singer-songwriter-guitarist is touring in support of his fifth studio album "Born and Raised." It was released in May 2012, but the tour was canceled due to the return of his throat granuloma.

One dollar from each ticket sold will benefit the NCIRE's work supporting returning Veterans.
