Jackie Evancho goes to the movies for next PBS special

Jackie Evancho, the 12-year-old vocal sensation from Richland, will star in her second television special, "Jackie Evancho: Music of the Movies," airing in August on PBS's "THIRTEEN's Great Performances."

The follow-up to her debut special, "Great Performances Dream With Me in Concert," it was recorded in June at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles and features such songs as "Pure Imagination," "My Heart Will Go On," "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Some Enchanted Evening."

It will air on WQED-TV at 5:30 and 9 p.m. Aug. 12, 8 p.m. Aug. 13, 1 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 14, 8 p.m. Aug. 19, midnight Aug. 20 and noon Aug. 24.

Evancho came to fame as a 10-year-old contestant on "America's Got Talent" and has released two albums, the platinum "O Holy Night" and gold "Dream With Me," for Columbia Records.
