"Married in Spandex," a documentary about Rachel Turanski and Amanda Kole who travel from their home in Philadelphia to Ames, Iowa, so they can marry, will have its Pittsburgh premiere at 8 p.m. Friday at the Hollywood Theater in Dormont.

The movie, by Pittsburgh natives and filmmakers Allison Kole and Devin Gallagher, has screened at numerous festivals. They call "Married in Spandex" a love story that is also part road movie, part political documentary and part performance art.

Tickets are $7 in advance through www.marriedinspandex.com or $10 at the door (students with ID, $7).

The event will feature a question and answer session with the filmmakers, representative from Equality Pennsylvania, music, raffle and a local short film.
