Stephen Chbosky's script for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" has earned a best adapted screenplay nomination from The Writers Guilds of America, West and East. The WGA announced its motion-picture nominees yesterday; winners will be honored at awards ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York on Feb. 17.
Mr. Chbosky, an Upper St. Clair native, wrote the book of the same name and directed the movie, which was set and filmed in Pittsburgh. In November, he was nominated for a Film Independent Spirit Award in the category of best first feature.
