Family Film Guide: 'Premium Rush'

Suitable for: Teens and above.
What you should know: Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a bicycle courier in New York who risks life and limb to deliver an envelope across Manhattan during rush hour. Cast also includes Michael Shannon as a villain determined to get that envelope away from him.
Language: One f-word, nearly a dozen and a half uses of profanity and a steady stream of the s-word, in particular.
Sexual situations and nudity: Nothing more than some kisses.
Violence/scary situations: A man who is beaten dies, another is shot to death and one clatters to the ground after colliding with a taxi on his bicycle. Much of the bike riding is mildly or highly dangerous, whether it's with or against traffic, part of a perilous chase or simply imagined. A child's fate is tied to actions thousands of miles away, threats are issued over gambling debts, and punches and kicks take their physical toll.
Alcohol and drug use: A couple of scenes are set in a bar where patrons imbibe freely, and someone cracks open a beer near the end of a work day.
