Family Film Guide: "Man on a Ledge"

Rated: PG-13.
Suitable for: Teens and older.
What you should know: Sam Worthington is a disgraced cop and escaped convict who makes his way to a ledge outside a room on the 21st floor of a Manhattan hotel. He insists he's innocent of the crime and enlists some supporters in his effort to get at the truth. Cast also includes Elizabeth Banks, Jamie Bell, Ed Burns, Anthony Mackie and Ed Harris.
Language: One or two f-words and roughly three dozen uses of profanity or mild expletives.
Sexual situations and nudity: Some flashes of a woman in her underwear and brief passionate kisses.
Violence, scary situations: The man on a ledge is in peril, as are others who try to talk him in. There is deadly gunfire, dangerous leaps, chase scenes with reckless driving and crashes along some punches thrown.
Alcohol and drug use: Characters order, favor or are shown with various sorts of alcohol, and a scene is set in a bar.
