The Post-Gazette reviews movies from a family perspective:

'Hitchcock'

Rated: PG-13.

What you should know: This is the story about the making of "Psycho" and stars Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock and Helen Mirren as his wife, Alma. Cast also includes Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh.

Language: A couple of uses of profanity.

Sexual situations and nudity: Women are seen in bras and slips, sometimes while dressing or in the service of moviemaking. A couple is seen kissing, both for the camera and not.

Violence/scary situations: The movie talks about the real-life killer who inspired the novel "Psycho." We see someone bonked on the head with a shovel, and there's talk about a "boy who dug up his own mother," along with dramatizations of the "Psycho" shower scene and other terrifying movie moments.
