People: Rielle Hunter, Christie Brinkley, Zach GAlifianakis, 50 Cent, Andy South
Well, that was fast.
Just a week after she told People she was still dating John Edwards and the two were spotted getting cozy at their North Carolina beach house, Rielle Hunter says that they are no longer in a relationship (again).
"We are a family, but as of the end of last week, John Edwards and I are no longer a couple," she said on Tuesday's "Good Morning America," the same day her tell-all arrives in bookstores. "Not at all."
Hunter, who has a daughter, Quinn, 4, with Edwards, said she still loves the former presidential candidate. As for whether that feeling is mutual, "You have to ask him," said Hunter, whose relationship with Edwards ended his bid for the presidency and his marriage to Elizabeth Edwards. "I think he does."
She would not reveal who initiated the split, simply explaining, "We decided to end it. It's hard. It's painful."
It looks like Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook can finally put their marriage behind them.
Nearly four years after their nasty divorce became official, the two have reached an out-of-court settlement in their bitter battle over child support for their two kids, 17-year-old Jack and 13-year-old Sailor, E! News reports.
"In a late night settlement, I finally won the right to establish boundaries with provisions such as an intermediary to deal with email bullying, verbal and emotional abuse," Brinkley wrote Monday on her Facebook page. "I am hopeful the steps will now protect my Constitutional right to quiet enjoyment and peace and serve as a template for the courts to help others avoid the lengthy trials and tribulations that cost taxpayers money, and at a cost to families that CAN be calculated in dollars. But its the emotional toll which can only be measured in tears that must be considered by the courts and media alike."
While Cook's lawyer reportedly claimed that Brinkley's ex-husband managed to secure a "parenting coordinator" as part of the settlement, Brinkley's attorney insists in a statement that it's "completely untrue."
Posted on Brinkley's Facebook page, the statement reads, "There was never an appointment of a 'parent coordinator' as Mr. Cook claims, and there was absolutely no compensation paid to Mr. Cook. In addition, Mr. Cook was forced to pay his child support arrears rather than face the consequences of the Court."
The out-of-court settlement came just one day before a trial was scheduled to begin.
Zach Galifianakis is apparently about to be a bachelor no more!
"The Hangover" star, 42, will marry his longtime love Quinn Lundberg, 29, on Aug. 11, according to Celebuzz, which obtained a copy of the wedding invite.
"While it has the formal and standard details of who, what, when, where -- including Zach's full name, Zachary Knight Galifianakis, and his fiancee's, Mary Quinn Lundberg -- it is also very funny," a source tells Celebuzz. "Zach included a drawing of himself and his bride-to-be. He made sure he looked like a little troll, while Quinn is a stunning tall blond princess."
There's no word on when Galifianakis got engaged to Quinn, who is vice president and co-founder of Growing Voices, a charity dedicated to giving back to the community.
A rep for the actor was not immediately available for comment.
Galifianakis next appears with Will Ferrell and Jason Sudeikis in "The Campaign," and the "Hangover" franchise will continue next year with its third installment, also starring Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms.
50 Cent was injured in a car accident early Tuesday morning on New York's Long Island Expressway, but fret not: The rapper is going to be OK.
Pictures posted on the MC's official website show the star wearing a neck brace and being carried on a stretcher and wheeled through the hospital.
According to ThisIs50.com, 50's SUV was rear-ended by a Mack truck.
The rapper's SUV reportedly almost flipped over, and the truck driver supposedly told police that he lost control of his vehicle.
Fortunately, 50's rep confirms that he has been released from the hospital and is doing fine.
"He was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for minor neck and back injuries," his rep tells E! News in a statement. "He was released this morning and is doing fine."
The rapper was just in the hospital last month after suffering from a stomach virus. And as hardcore as he might be, he wasn't averse to having a stuffed giraffe, elephant and lion keep him company in the hospital bed.
Katniss Everdeen is a hero in real life, too!
"The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence saved the day on Monday when she rushed to help an ailing woman in Santa Monica, Calif.
Local police told E! News they received a 911 call at 6:49 p.m. about a woman who had passed out, possibly from alcohol, outside an apartment complex. Although it wasn't Lawrence who placed the call, police confirmed the Oscar nominee was with the sick woman and stayed with her until paramedics arrived.
Lawrence calmly assisted the woman, who was sprawled out on the grass. Wearing flip-flops, gray sweatpants and a tank top, the actress got down on the ground as she kindly waited with the woman in need of medical assistance.
Several police officers came to the rescue as well.
Way to make District 12 (and Hollywood) proud!
Andy South is now doing more than changing things up in the fashion world, E! News reports.
