George Lucas to wed longtime girlfriend

George Lucas wasn't kidding when he said he was ready to move on to "bigger and better things" after selling Lucasfilm to Disney for billions recently.
The 68-year-old "Star Wars" creator is engaged to his longtime girlfriend of seven years, businesswoman Mellody Hobson, according to the Huffington Post.
Mr. Lucas recently decided to donate the majority of the $4 billion he snagged from the sale of his company to a foundation that will focus primarily on educational issues, and dished about being excited about starting a new part of his life.
"For 41 years, the majority of my time and money has been put into the company," Mr. Lucas said in a statement. "As I start a new chapter in my life, it is gratifying that I have the opportunity to devote more time and resources to philanthropy."
This will be the second marriage for Mr. Lucas and the first for the 43-year-old president of the Chicago-based investment management firm Ariel Investments LLC.
The director and Ms. Hobson are often spotted hand-in-hand on the red carpet, everywhere from the Cannes Film Festival to Formula One Grand Prix races to the NAACP awards.
