After 40 years of owning a piece of one the greatest moments in sports history, Mike Silverstein has decided it's time for someone else to have a part of the miracle.

Silverstein decided to auction on eBay his autographed locker room press pass from the 1972 playoff game between the Steelers and the Oakland Raiders that featured the play known as the Immaculate Reception.

The auction already has started and bids will be taken until 6:03 p.m. Tuesday.

The press pass is autographed by Steelers legends Franco Harris, John "Frenchy" Fuqua and Joe Greene.

Silverstein, covering the game for ABC radio, is known for being the first person to tell team owner Art Rooney Sr. what had happened on that play. Rooney was on an elevator on his way to the Steelers locker room when the play occurred.

Silverstein, who lives in the Washington, D.C., area, also was the first to interview Harris right after the play.

"I want to share this piece of history with someone else, especially if some good can come out of this and can help an organization," said Silverstein.

All proceeds from the auction are being donated to Transitional Services Inc., of Pittsburgh, an organization that helps those with mental disabilities find a meaningful life in their communities.

Selling the piece of memorabilia was easy for Silverstein. His brother, born with Down Syndrome, lived at one of TSI's centers for 26 years. Silverstein said he always has felt a need to help people who suffer from mental disabilities and organizations such as TSI.

"We need to take a second look at mental health issues. If the government can't do anything about it, then we need to step to the plate and do something," Silverstein said.

"More importantly, I want to raise consciousness that there are organization like TSI that are working everyday trying to help people that otherwise cant help themselves.
