Steelers outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley and safety Troy Polamalu will not play tonight against the Tennessee Titans at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn.

Both players were injured in the Steelers' 16-14 victory Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles at Heinz Field. Polamalu aggravated a calf injury that kept him out of games in the second and third weeks against the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders.

Woodley's right hamstring injury was termed "mild" Monday by coach Mike Tomlin, who left the door open for Woodley to play because it is not a serious injury. But, with only three days off between games, the decision was made not to play him.

Neither player participated in practice Wednesday before the team left for Nashville.

There was better news for linebackers James Harrison and Stevenson Sylvester and running back Rashard Mendenhall. All three participated in practice and were listed as probable.

Harrison and Mendenhall played for the first time this season against the Eagles after sitting out the first three games with knee injuries. Mendenhall rushed for a team-high 68 yards and scored the Steelers' only touchdown.

Scoring change

The NFL changed Mendenhall's 13-yard touchdown run against the Eagles to a 13-yard touchdown catch. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw a swing pass to Mendenhall that was initially ruled a lateral by game-day statisticians.

Instead of rushing for 81 yards, Mendenhall will be credited with 68. And Roethlisberger threw for 220 yards in the game instead of 207 and needs 287 to surpass Terry Bradshaw as the team's all-time leader in yardage.

Suisham player of the week

Placekicker Shaun Suisham was named AFC special teams player of the week for kicking the winning 34-yard field goal Sunday as time expired. Suisham was 3 for 3 on field goals Sunday and improved to 8 for 8 this season. This is the second time Suisham has earned special teams player of the week honors. He was the NFC special teams player of the week when he played for the Washington Redskins in 2007.
