Q: Ed, I love your work as the Steelers beat writer.. I feel you are very well in tune with what is going with the Steelers. Do you feel we should trade down from the No. 23 spot to pick up extras draft picks?
Dan Zuppe, Midland, Pa.
BOUCHETTE: Yes, provided they can acquire good value. I'm also not against them trading up in the first round, again provided the value is there. But if there is a player they like, one they feel will become a starter and help their team, then stay put and draft him with the No. 23 pick. If, as the first round unfolds, they don't particularly like what's there for the value and someone's willing to give them value in trade, then do it. It's not as easy as wanting to trade down, or even up; someone else must be willing to make the trade, and they're not looking to get their pockets picked either.
