My favorite Steeler of all time has to be Jerome Bettis. He was always there on fourth and short for years. He drove our bus straight to Detroit for a fifth ring. Most impressive was that he was a class act off the field. His charity work, involvement in the community (both Pittsburgh and Detroit) and his writting (Book and magazine articles) just make him an example of the good in the world. Many other current and former steelers are also great examples of excellence on and off the field. Mel Blount, Franco Harris and many others come to mind. Myron Cope also has to be an honorable mention, God bless him.

Well my favorite Steeler would have to be Bettis, (THE BUS). Not just because he was a all time great player, but he has asthma. My daughter has it. She is 8 years old and a big Steeler fan like her dad. And I always think of Jerome Bettis when I tell her, You can do anything in life that you want to do, don't let your asthma stop you. It didn't stop a all time top 10 NFL rusher.
