I'm thirty eight years old, been a diehard Stiller fan growing up in Youngstown, OH. Hines Ward represents everything about the Steeler history and the city of Pittsburgh. He is a leader, tough, physical, a champion, plays every play like it is his last, etc...and all this while playing as a wide receiver!!!! Both me and my six-year-old son wear our 86 jerseys every gameday. I believe he will eventually make it into the Hall of Fame as a result of his hard work, and why he is a tremendous role model for young kids. Way to go, Hines! You have two big fans out here in Kansas City.

I've been around a long time...there are so many great Steelers, just look at the Hall of Fame, but some thing about Ward just reeks of Steeler Football.

The guy is able to catch anything, not only that but he always has a smile on his face…

For those of us who are over qualified to be AARP members, know there have been so many great Steelers over the years, it's hard to pick just one. As a kid Bullet Bill Dudley was my guy---the great teams of the '70s had so many but for just one my favorite is Donny Shell---but now is now and if everyone has to be in play I would pick Hines Ward as my all time favorite --and it would be a special pleasure to meet Hines someday.

For me it’s a toss up between Jack Lambert and Hines Ward. These guys are very similar accept they play on different sides of the ball. They both have the same intensity and desire to win. They're hard hitters, have mean streaks and just exemplify what a Pittsburgh Steeler should be!! SO AFTER FURTHER THOUGHT I'M GOING WITH HINES WARD!!! You ask why? Because he does it with a smile!!!!!
