WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Reserve Antwan Scott posted career highs with 15 points and nine rebounds as No. 25 Wake Forest held High Point without a basket for a 14 1/2-minute span in a 79-35 victory last night.
The point total by the Panthers was the lowest against the Demon Deacons (7-1) in 52 years. Wake Forest held Atlantic Christian to 30 points in 1947.
Anthony Jackson led High Point (5-2) with 11 points.
However, the win may have proved costly for the Demon Deacons.
Darius Songaila, the team's second leading scorer and rebounder, sprained his right knee during a fall under the basket less than a minute into the second half.
The 6-foot-9 sophomore, who averages 13.1 points and 5.0 rebounds, was helped to the locker room without putting much weight on his leg and did not return.

CHICAGO -- Tamika Catchings scored 21 points despite sitting out the final nine minutes with four fouls and No. 2 Tennessee beat DePaul for its seventh consecutive victory.
Catchings was 9 of 13 from the field and had three steals for the Lady Volunteers (7-1), who led, 15-2, five minutes into the game.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Keitha Dickerson scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half as No. 7 Texas Tech overcame a sluggish start and beat South Florida.
The Lady Raiders (8-0) led by just two points at halftime, but took control with a 10-2 run to start the second half.
Dickerson had eight in the run that gave Texas Tech a 33-23 lead. Monica Echeverria had 16 points for South Florida (7-1).

Damian Hall scored 20 points to lead visiting La Roche to a 69-64 victory over Webber College (Fla.).
Nate Lambert scored a game-high 28 points, but Butler Community College (6-6) was defeated by visiting Jamestown Community College, 89-68. Josh Ringer added 17 points for Butler CCC.
