The Steelers are playing host to three more college prospects Wednesday, including two defensive linemen from Georgia Tech.
Defensive ends Francis Kallon and Patrick Gamble of Georgia Tech and outside linebacker Pita Taumoepenu of Utah are at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.
All are projected as late-round prospects or undrafted free agents.
Gamble (6-4, 277) played inside at defensive tackle and outside at defensive end for the Yellow Jackets. He is the 34th-rated defensive tackle according to nfldraftscout.com. His versatility could make him a possibility for the Steelers.
Kallon (6-5, 294) is the 46th-rated defensive tackle. He has the size the Steelers look for in developmental prospects.
Taumoepenu (6-1, 243) is the 29th-rated outside linebacker. He is undersized to play outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense, but he was very productive at Utah.
The Steelers have had 32 college prospects in this month, but six don’t count against their allotted 30 visits because they were local prospects either from WPIAL schools, Pitt or West Virginia.
Here are the college prospects that have visited through Wednesday:
April 3: Patrick Mahomes, QB; Joshua Dobbs, QB; Joshua Reynolds, WR; Kenny Golloday, WR
April 4: Takk McKinley, OLB; Derek Rivers, OLB; Jourdan Lewis, CB; Montae Nicholson, S
April 6: Chris Godwin, WR; James Conner, RB; Budda Baker, S; Josh Jones, S; Jarrad Davis, LB
April 7: Zach Cunningham, LB; Carroll Phillips, OLB
