The Steelers cut two rookies, signed two players and, with a storm threatening to hit Latrobe late this afternoon, moved practice ahead by an hour today at Saint Vincent College.

The Steelers released running back Curtis McNeal and defensive end Cordian Hagans. They signed another cornerback, Devin Smith of Wisconsin, and running back Alvester Alexander of Wyoming.

Smith was recently cut by the Dallas Cowboys and Alexander spent time with Tennessee and Indianpolis this year.

And, if you plan to watch the Steelers practice today, get there a little early. Practice will start at 2 p.m., one hour earlier than normal. Campus will still open to the public at noon.

The Steelers have moved today's practice ahead one hour because of the threat of inclement weather. Practice will begin at 1:55 p.m. instead of the regularly scheduled 2:55 p.m. at Saint Vincent College near Latrobe.

Campus will still open at noon, and the UPMC Steelers Experience will also open at its original time of noon as well.
