Q: Now that Dick LeBeau has been nominated for the Hall of Fame and with all the lobbying by the Steeler players (including Rod Woodson) what are his chances of making it in?
Greg Breault, Chatham, Ontario
BOUCHETTE: LeBeau should have been in the Hall of Fame long ago as one of the cornerbacks in the 1960s. Although it's not technically supposed to be considered in the vote, his long history as an excellent and innovate NFL defensive coach has helped bring his nomination out of the seniors committee. I believe his playing career can stand by itself for the Hall of Fame, and I think his coaching just puts it over the top, even if technically it's not supposed to be considered. It would shock me if he is not swept into the Hall of Fame when we vote the day before the Super Bowl.
