Penn State wide receiver Allen Robinson hauls in a 43-yard pass from Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg with Eastern Michigan defensive back Willie Creear making the tackle during the first quarter of an NCAA college football game in State College, Pa., Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013.
Penn State wide receiver Allen Robinson was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 61st pick in the NFL Draft tonight.
Robinson had 97 receptions for 1,432 yards for Penn State last season, both Penn State single-season records. He chose to enter the draft with one year of eligibility remaining and had been considered a possible first round pick. He was hampered by a questionable 40-yard dash time of 4.6 at the NFL combine.
Robinson said last month, "I think I made the right decision. Honestly I’ve seen a lot of improvement in myself as a player. …I made the best decision I could have made, and I’m comfortable with that."
The Jaguars also feature former Penn State players Paul Posluszny, Matt Stankiewitch and Nate Stupar. The team selected another wide receiver, Marqise Lee, earlier in the second round.
