Jenn Menendez: Hello from rainy Baltimore. ... The forecast for today is pretty ominous, so I have a sneaking suspicion we're in for a doubleheader tomorrow. But they have not called the game yet. So let's chat Pirates.

Mike: Is Liriano on track to make his next scheduled start?

Jenn Menendez: Yes. Was told yesterday he is on track. I believe the weekend series against the Blue Jays will be Cole-Liriano-Volquez.

JamesinNYC: The weather is crappy out east. Who starts to pick up their game first?

Jenn Menendez: Not sure I understand the question. I doubt this game gets in today, but won't know for sure until they call it. We'll find out later, but at that point it's likely Morton and Cumpton would both pitch tomorrow.

BuccoFan: Marte out of the leadoff position?

Jenn Menendez: Yes. Haven't seen today's lineup, but yesterday he was bumped down to No. 7 and Jose Tabata was penciled in at leadoff.

JamesinNYC: Sorry I meant there are a lot of folks underperforming who gets back on track first?

Jenn Menendez: I'd look to the mound. I think the law of averages would indicate both Morton and Liriano will both begin to improve here shortly, catch a break or two and get on track.

Jenn Menendez: Quiet chat today so far, so feel free to ask multiple questions.

Mike: Is Tony Sanchez likely to get a bulk of the playing time while Russell is out? Why him over Stewart? Sanchez seems like a defensive liability.

Jenn Menendez: He's hitting pretty well. Has a hitting streak of eight games going, I believe.

JamesinNYC: Any draft ideas? Much different at the bottome of the draft haha.

Jenn Menendez: Not something I've looked into deeply. Generally speaking, I'd probably look at more pitching depth. It always seems like there's never quite enough.

Guest: Ike Davis was in two spot yesterday. Might be worth a try?

Jenn Menendez: Agreed. I think they need to try anything that could work to get guys on base for the 3-4-5 hitters.

Jenn Menendez: Got anything else?

Guest: Any word on appeals for the suspensions? Thought maybe any or all of them will sit out during The trip in to Milwaukee in May?

Jenn Menendez: No word yet, no. Bill was with the team over the weekend, and I picked up yesterday and didn't hear anything about that.

Guest: Either way probably some fireworks in Milwaukee?

Jenn Menendez: I'd imagine nobody has forgotten about what happened. So could be in for a lively series.

Guest: If tonights game is also rained out do you know if Root will televise both ends of the double header tommorrow?

Jenn Menendez: Check the paper and blog for that info. but I'm pretty sure Dan Hart told us on his way out last night that Root would televise Thursday's games. So I take that to mean both.

JamesinNYC: If you could add one piece at this point to get the Bucs back to winning baseball what would it be?

Jenn Menendez: I think it will take more than one piece. But I'd say adding a right fielder who can hit for average, has decent power, and can hit somewhere in the top of the order. Wait a minute...

Guest: Thanks for the chats. Big fan from Canada. Love the team and the city. You would think things will turn around shortly for us.

Jenn Menendez: Thanks to everyone who was able to join me today. Check the blog and Twitter - @JennMenendez for updates about this alleged game tonight.
