Pirates scratch Snider from lineup with injury

ST. LOUIS -- Pirates outfielder Travis Snider was scratched from the starting lineup 15 minutes before the first pitch of a game against the St. Louis Cardinals today. The Pirates announced Snider experienced "discomfort in his left side," and will be treated and re-evaluated during the game. The Pirates are already thin on their bench with Neil Walker missing at least five games with a deep cut to his right hand, which required six stitches. Snider was replaced by Jose Tabata.
