Rally for Pens at noon in courthouse courtyard

Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and Mayor Bill Peduto will host a rally Friday for the Penguins as the team enters the second round of the NHL playoffs Friday night against the New York Rangers at Consol Energy Center.

The rally will be at noon in the Allegheny County Courthouse Courtyard, along Grant Street, Downtown.

A county news release said attendees are encouraged to wear their black and gold, and to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
