Penguins-Rangers schedule released; first game Friday at Consol Energy Center



The NHL early this morning released the schedule for the Penguins second-round playoff series against the New York Rangers.

The series will open at 7 p.m. Friday in Consol Energy Center. Game 2 also will be a Penguins home game; the puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The series shifts to Madison Square Garden, and quickly. Game 3 is at 7:30 p.m. Monday, and Game 4 is at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,

The teams return to Consol Energy Center for Game 5, if necessary, next Friday. Game 6 would be played May 11 in New York, and Game 7 would be played May 13 at Consol Energy Center.
