NHL releases schedule for Penguins' first-round playoff series against Blue Jackets



The Penguins’ schedule for their best-of-seven, first-round playoff series against Columbus begins Wednesday and includes two days off between Games 1 and 2.

There also will be a two-day break between Games 4 and 5, if a Game 5 is necessary.

The first four games are expected to be televised by Root Sports locally and NBC Sports Network nationally.

Here is the lineup:

Game 1 – Wednesday, 7:38 p.m., Consol Energy Center, Root Sports and NBC Sports Network

Game 2 – Saturday, 7:08 p.m. Consol Energy Center, Root Sports and NBC Sports Network

Game 3 – Monday, April 21, 7:08 p.m., Columbus, Root Sports and NBC Sports Network

Game 4 – Wednesday, April 23, 7:08 p.m., Columbus, Root Sports and NBC Sports Network

Game 5 (if necessary) – Saturday, April 26, time and TV TBD, Consol Energy Center

Game 6 (if necessary) – Monday, April 28, time and TV TBD, Columbus

Game 7 (if necessary) – Wednesday, April 30, time and TV TBD, Consol Energy Center.
