Veteran winger Miroslav Satan cleared re-entry waivers today and was recalled by the Penguins. He joined the team after its practice at Mellon Arena and is expected to travel with them to Montreal this afternoon.
Interim coach Dan Bylsma has not determined whether Satan will play tomorrow night against the Canadiens in the team's regular-season finale.
Satan, 34, played 10 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League after he was reassigned there March 4 as the Penguins needed to clear room under the salary cap because of trades made that day. He had three goals, nine points with the Baby Penguins.
Before that, he had 17 goals, 36 points in 65 games with the NHL Penguins since signing as a free agent last summer.
Over his NHL career, Satan has 38 points in 56 playoff games.
