Top local football recruits sign on the dotted line

Seven high school football players from the WPIAL were rated as four-star recruits by the scouting service Rivals.com. All seven signed today with Division I-A colleges.
Today is the first day high school senior players could sign a binding letter of intent with colleges. The seven four-stars from the WPIAL and their college choices are: Gateway's Montae Nicholson (Michigan State), Aliquippa's Dravon Henry (West Virginia), Central Catholic's J.J. Cosentino (Florida State), Thomas Jefferson's Chase WInovich (Michigan), Mt. Lebanon's Alex Bookser (Pitt) and Bethel Park's Mike Grimm (Pitt).
Washington's Shai McKenzie also was rated a four-star recruit but is already enrolled at Virginia Tech for the spring semester.
A total of 30 WPIAL seniors signed or verbally committed to Division I-A schools as of late this morning. Here they are:
