In a battle involving two of the top five teams in the WPIAL, No. 2 North Catholic outshined No. 3 Neshannock in non-conference action Friday at J.C. Stone Field in North Park.
The Trojans (8-0) jumped out to a 21-0 lead before the Lancers (6-2) stormed back in the second half but fell short, 21-14.
Trojans' quarterback Adam Sharlow accounted for all three scores, rushing for one and throwing for two. Sharlow finished the game 13 of 19 for 117 yards.

Javon Brown rushed for three touchdowns and the Greyhounds (8-1, 7-1) picked up a Black Hills Conference win against the Buccaneers (6-3, 5-3) to clinch at least a share of the conference title.

The Bulldogs (8-0, 8-0) clinched the Tri-County South Conference title outright Friday against the Eagles (5-3, 4-3). Matt Riggle, Anthony Welsh and Nico Brown each found the end zone twice.

The Pioneers (2-7) didn't score until the fourth quarter in their non-conference loss to North Star.
