Westinghouse earned a trip to a City League championship game for the 21st year in a row with a 56-26 victory against Oliver last night in a semifinal game at Allderdice.

Shalonda Winton starred for Westinghouse (20-4), scoring 24 points and grabbing 20 rebounds. Winton scored 17 of her points in the first half, when the Bulldogs jumped to a 31-16 lead.

Oliver (11-11) was making its first semifinal appearance since 1991.

Westinghouse's opponent in the title game will be Schenley, a 47-42 winner against Perry in the other semifinal.

Schenley is no stranger to the City title game, either. The Spartans have played Westinghouse in the championship game nine times in the past 11 seasons.

Schenley (21-3) was led to the win by star senior guard Markel Walker, who scored a game-high 22 points and added 19 rebounds. Walker, a UCLA recruit, was recently selected to play in the prestigious McDonald's All-American game April 1 in Miami.

Jamie Reed had 12 points for Perry (15-6), which trailed by only two after the third quarter.
