Another game, another shutout for Brendan McKay.

McKay, a senior pitcher at Blackhawk, stretched his scoreless streak to 51 innings Wednesday when Blackhawk defeated visiting Central Valley, 7-0.

McKay's streak dates to the 2013 season. He needs only one more shutout inning to move into the top 10 for longest streaks nationally. Against Central Valley, McKay pitched a two-hitter, struck out 15 and walked one, all in front of about 8-10 major league scouts.

"They said he was hitting 90 [mph]," Blackhawk coach Bob Amalia said.

For the season, McKay is 4-0. In 27 innings, he has 64 strikeouts and has allowed only seven hits. He is 26-1 for his career.

Joe Campagna and Chase Migliore each had two hits against Central Valley.
