Lake Erie and tributaries (Erie County): Fifteen to 12 inches reported on Presque Isle Bay, but generally small catches on the north side and Bay Harbor West. Skim ice was reported on the big creeks, but much of Elk and Walnut were open. Feb. 11 one Walnut Creek angler reported perfect water conditions south of Rte. 20, where he landed 14 of 19 hookups on tube flies with no one else on the water. Weekend highs of 19 to 27 degrees were predicted.

Pymatuning Reservoir (Crawford County): Anglers reported 8 to 10 inches. Fishing was slow.

Twin Lakes (Westmoreland County): Trout were hanging in the water table, and panfish were congregated near the bottom. Six inches of ice may have softened in recent days. Caution was advised.

North Park Lake (Allegheny County): Six inches reported, but caution advised. A few anglers were seen on the ice.

Lake Somerset (Somerset County): Solid ice, but weak fishing was reported in the drawn-down lake.

Laurel Hill Lake (Somerset County): Trout and panfish were pulled through safe ice.

Cranberry Glade Lake (Somerset County): Good size northerns were taken using tip-ups.

Shawnee Lake (Bedford County): Fish and Boat reported fishable ice, but few anglers were observed.

Juniata River (Juniata County): Not much fishing. Most of the river remained covered with ice.

Yellow Breeches Creek (Cumberland County): The water had remained open and the Boiling Springs region continued to get substantial angling pressure, particularly in the Catch and Release Special Regulation area.
