NASCAR Winston Cup: Ricky Rudd had the best car at Pocono Raceway last week, but had tire trouble late and yielded to teammate Dale Jarrett. Look for Rudd in victory lane today.

CART: Cristiano da Matta has mastered the road courses and starts on the front row today at Portland.

IRL: Sam Hornish Jr. has slipped from first to third in points in the past two races but is too good to struggle much longer.

NHRA: Look for John Force to defend his Funny Car title in Ohio.
