Former Central Florida quarterback Bo Schneider will transfer to Pitt, he announced on Twitter Wednesday.
Schneider will have three years of eligibility remaining, and will initially join the Panthers as a walk-on, with a chance to earn a scholarship if one is available next fall.
He will sit out the 2016 season, per NCAA transfer regulations.
As a freshman for Central Florida this season, Schneider started three games and played in eight. He completed 51.4 percent of his passes for 534 yards, two touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Schneider was a three-star prospect out of Jesuit High School in Dallas, Texas, in the 2015 recruiting class. He originally signed with Central Florida over offers from Colorado State, Houston, Southern Mississippi, Oregon State and Tulsa.
