McConnell-Serio signs first class at Pitt

Coach Suzie McConnell-Serio signed her first recruiting class Friday at Pitt with Aysia Bugg (guard, Bolingbrook, Ill.), Stasha Carey (forward, Middleburg Heights, Ohio), and Seton-LaSalle standouts Yacine Diop (guard) and Naje Gibson (forward).

All four rank in the top 20 at their position, and Carey, Diop and Gibson are top-100 prospects, according to ESPNW's HoopGurlz, which ranks Pitt's class at No. 15, the highest in school history.

"This is an amazing group of young women -- on and off the basketball court," McConnell-Serio said in a statement. "We are confident that they will make an impact on our program."
