Two Pitt football players, junior wide receiver Ronald Jones and junior defensive tackle Khaynin Mosley Smith, have been suspended for the 2013 season, Panthers coach Paul Chryst said today.

Jones' suspension is for a violation of team rules, and Mosley-Smith's is a continuation of his indefinite suspension stemming from an April arrest. Both players can practice with the team while under suspension.

Chryst also said that freshman quarterback Tra'von Chapman remains on indefinite suspension as the Panthers prepare to start fall practice Tuesday. Chapman was arrested in May for assault, and pleaded guilty to the charges last week. He served three days in jail, and Chryst said his status with the team is still being evaluated.
