Pitt running back Dion Lewis and offensive lineman Jason Pinkston and Penn State senior guard Stefen Wisniewski have been named first-team preseason All-Americans by The Sporting News.

The publication also named Lewis, a sophomore from New Jersey, as a top-five candidate for the Heisman Trophy. Lewis ran for 1,799 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2009.

Pitt senior defensive end Greg Romeus was named second-team All-American by TSN and junior receiver Jon Baldwin made the third team.

Wisniewski, a Central Catholic graduate, started at center for the Lions last season and was a first-team All-Big Ten pick.
