Sue Storm, known as "The Angel Lady," had a near-death experience at 18 months old and realized she could communicate with angels. Later she heard a voice telling her to help people. Since then her life changed dramatically. She's done countless radio interviews, including KDKA and Y108, and has written books that focus on how to make the angels a practical guidance and support system. Q. Weren't you worried about your mental health when you heard a voice telling you to help people?

A. When I had the near-death experience and felt the sense of peace, from that point on I was able to hear, see and feel the angels. Then, at about 4 years old there was a particular voice, an adult male voice of guidance, that I would hear. It was like a thought in my head, but I knew it wasn't me. I called that voice my little man. So, all my life I've had some special form of guidance. It wasn't unusual for me and didn't scare me at all. Basically, the ceiling opened up and this booming voice came down and said, "Sue, you have to help people." I got the same warm, special feeling I had when I was a baby, and I recognized it.

Q. So where were the angels on 9/11?

A. You know it's interesting because they were there. Those people who left are the people who are coming back as the new generation to head up our country and help us get through the next millennium. Everybody who left was a positive, loving, good person. People who don't believe in reincarnation may not understand this. This is the explanation I have gotten. Again this is pretty far out, but I help souls pass over. I communicate with those who are on the other side.

Q. Why do angels intervene to save some people and not others?

A. The truth is, angels are with you your entire life, and they are there with you every single minute helping you. People just don't understand that. And the books explain that. They intervene where they are needed. Angel means messenger of God. We don't always know the answer. My belief is everything is always good. We just don't always understand why.

Q. If angels are spiritual, why would they help us get rich?

A. They may or may not. If you are really thinking about what you are meant to do, how you can help, what your life is all about, then it will just come to you. Because they bring opportunity and prosperity. It's not just cash. Cash is just like a result of spiritual development and the things you do with your connection with the angels.

Q. Isn't Tara (the angel for love) a kind of au courant name for an angel?

A. Well, I know that, and the archangels do have the biblical names, but the angel specialists, as I call them, have more modern names. Well, the way that all started is people would call me and say, "Who is the angel for taking a trip?" or "Which angel do I leave with my older children?" I would just ask and I would get pretty contemporary names.

Q. So you communicated with the angels and those are the names they gave you?

A. Yes, and I communicate with Michael the Archangel who guides me and helps me. He was my little man. All my life he's been right there with me. That's how I can do this. I can answer questions that people have wondered about their entire life. I can help them turn their lives around. I can help them get health, happiness and prosperity. It's amazing. I have been given incredible gifts to do what I do.

Q. Do angels abandon evil people?

A. No. Evil people have the same opportunity to listen, to feel and to be good, but they just don't listen. So maybe the next time around they will.

Q. When did you actually turn this gift into a career?

A. In 1985 when I heard that booming voice, which was not an angel -- it was God. Until then I was running a bowling supply distributorship. Everything changed, and I knew my life was never going to be the same. And I said, "Well what do you want me to do?" And I didn't get an answer, but I was led step by step. I was led into this. You know what? I can't do anything else -- this is who I am. Everybody has a life's purpose, and if they can find it there are less bumps on the road and good things will happen.
