PIZZAZZ event raises funds for Garden Club of Allegheny County

PIZZAZZ had a banner year, which was good news for the Garden Club of Allegheny County. The annual boutique shopping benefit helps the garden club, part of the Garden Club of America, to fund various local causes including Botany in Action and horticultural, conservation and environmental education in the region. This year's event opened with a Preview Party Wednesday and continued through Friday at the Fox Chapel Golf Club. Mardi Royston and Diane Viall chaired PIZZAZZ, with Carol Duggan and Marjorie Recker as the vendor chairs who brought in 30 boutiques from around the country. New and very popular this year was Fleurs -- a French flower stand with arrangements made by garden club members.
