A reception last Tuesday with Palestinian artist Bashar Al Hroub kicked off "Borders, Walls and Citizenship," an exhibition coming to the Mattress Factory next spring. Mr. Al Hroub is part of the "Sites of Passage" project, which will bring together artists from Palestine, Israel and the United States through a virtual and tangible art exchange program. The World Affairs Council and ArtUp co-sponsored the reception in the loft of Mattress Factory co-directors Barbara Luderowski and Michael Olijnyk. Joining them were exhibition curator Tavia La Follette with husband Gary Huck, World Affairs Council director Steve Sokol, Vivian and Bill Benter, John Carson, Tami Dixon and Jeffrey Carpenter, and Clara Phillips.
