"Let's Rock This City" was the biggest, most successful gala in City Theatre's history, with more than 400 guests helping to raise $275,000 during a multi-layered evening that rocked.
The rock 'n' roll theme for the benefit held at Heinz Field Club East Lounge May 20 had some guests dressed in their best leather and lace looks. Tapping into his wild side was host committee chair David Massaro with his wife, Luci.
"I'm just having fun with the rock 'n' roll thing," he said, wearing his black leather fringe jacket and jeans. Getting into the spirit of the evening in their own way were gala co-chairs Michael and Judy Cheteyan, Laura Penrod Kronk and June Yonas. Auction chair Melanie Crockard (with Jim) carried her lace on a clutch and was thrilled to see the Bruce Springsteen guitar go for $2,050.
WTAE's Sally Wiggin emceed the party, which featured a live and silent auction, ample food and wine stations, bars and music by DJ Kelli Burns. Among those rockin' the city were artistic director Tracy Brigden with Mike DelGaudio, Kevin Mullen, Dan and Debbie Frankel, Larry Leahy, Catherine Loevner, Richard Parsakian, Sam Badger, Lewis and Julie Gardner, Jean Horne, Cynthia McCormack and Lois Pruitt, David Bush and Tim McVay, Nancy Traina, Judy Linaburg, Carol and Chuck Snyder, and Ellen Roth.
