Nothing was in short supply during Thursday's Civic Light Opera Guild's Rock 'n' Roll-tini at Inventionland, especially imagination. Guests enjoyed a stroll through the RIDC headquarters, which looks more like Disney World than a work place.
Hoffstot's restaurant in Oakmont catered the event with comfort foods such as mashed potatoes, sliders, meatballs and more. Guild chair Patti Matty welcomed all and introduced this year's Rock, Roll & Remember Ball, to be held June 15 at the Westin Convention Center.
Ball chairs Suzanne and Ed Karlovich were among the guests as were ball honorees Steve and Helen Hanna Casey. "The CLO has a special place in our hearts since the ball was where we met," said Mr. Casey. Inventionland owners Moira Davison and her son George Davison hosted the party.
Among those toe-tapping to the Neil Diamond impersonator were Tom and Clare Donahue, Maryann Boehm, Deb Mortillaro, Dena Zaimer, Robin Randall and Judge Bob Gallo.
